Schedule Details/Additional Information:

• Self-Scheduled
• Shift: 3rd Shift (7pm-7:30am)
• FTE: 0.9 (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: 2 Mondays, 2 Fridays, 1 Weekend every 6 weeks, plus 2 holidays (1 summer and 1 winter)
• RNs are trained in ACLS, NIH, IV Ultrasound, and prepared for Charge RN responsibilities

If you're seeking a night shift position that offers variety, challenge, and growth within a single hospital, our Internal Float Pool could be right for you. You'll rotate through ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. Every shift presents fresh experiences to enhance your clinical skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, ED Boarding, and ICU support
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Quickly adapt to various unit workflows while maintaining clinical excellence

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 18 months in Med/Surg or Telemetry RN (2 years preferred)
• Flexibility: Availability to meet the 6-week schedule requirements

Training & Skills:

• Training includes:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
  • IV Ultrasound
  • Charge Nurse cross-training to build leadership capabilities

Your role involves coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, implementing evidence-based practices, and fostering collaborative relationships across the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient needs and planning individualized interventions
• Anticipating changes in patient conditions and responding appropriately
• Implementing strategies to enhance patient safety
• Collaborating for effective discharge plans
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Nurse license from the practice state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Education:

Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience & Skills:

At least one year of clinical nursing experience is typically required. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and flexibility, alongside proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
