Overview

WASHINGTON, DC (LOCAL & TRI-STATE CANDIDATES) - A wonderful, dual-working professional family in Washington, DC, is seeking 2 FULL-TIME ROTATIONAL NANNIES to provide 24/7 rotational coverage for their two young sons (ages 1.5 years and 8 months). This is a long-term position for highly experienced, professional caregivers who are warm, reliable, and thrive in a collaborative, fully staffed household. The schedule is 14 days on/14 days off!

The family splits time between their primary residence in DC and other locations, and occasional travel to other destinations is expected. Each nanny will partner seamlessly to ensure consistency in care, manage the boys' daily routines, plan engaging and developmentally supportive activities, and maintain open communication with parents and household staff. There is a full-time housekeeper and household manager in the home as well.


The family is NOT open to flying candidates in and out at this time. Candidates should be comfortable commuting independently to Washington D.C. if not local.


Ideal candidates will be mature, nurturing, yet structured, excellent communicators, and confident working in high-profile homes. A background in early childhood development is strongly preferred. The family offers a competitive salary of $100k-125k/year gross, guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays, health insurance, dental, vision, 401K, and paid sick time, along with access to a family vehicle during working hours.


Qualifications

• BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
• EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES

• U.S. DRIVER'S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
• MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
• NON-SMOKER
• MUST BE LIVE-SCANNED AND REGISTERED WITH TRUSTLINE IF YOU ARE CA RESIDENT
