Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise on-site construction activities and operations
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Implement safety protocols and maintain site safety standards
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with specifications
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Resolve on-site issues and challenges proactively
- Maintain accurate construction documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Oversee contract administration and manage project changes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Excellent understanding of site safety protocols and quality control processes
- Experience with budgeting and scheduling for construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and construction documentation
- Experience in commercial construction projects and interiors
