Job Title: Die Maker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Die Maker to join our night shift team. The role involves maintaining the operation of existing presses in the event of tooling or forming issues and contributing to building transfer and progressive dies as new business opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

• Keep existing press running efficiently by addressing tooling or forming issues.
• Build transfer and progressive dies for new business projects.
• Perform die repair and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die making and stamping.
• Utilize surface grinding and TIG welding skills to maintain and repair dies.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in tool and die making.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with die repair and maintenance.
• Skilled in TIG welding with at least 2 years of experience.
• Surface grinding expertise with 2+ years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with sharpening steels and shimming.
• Knowledge of progressive die making and transfer presses.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in die making.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville AND Livonia Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
