Start your Voyage - Apply Now Equity Research Analyst - Natural Resources Voya Investment Management is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join the Fundamental Equity investment team covering the entire Natural Resources complex, consisting of Energy, Materials and Utilities equities. The Analyst is responsible for security selection for mid and large sized companies across Value and Growth strategies. She/he would research new ideas and conduct maintenance research on current holdings via data synthesis, financial analysis and engagement with the broader investment ecosystem (i.e. company management, sell-side analysts, industry consultants, etc.). The analyst will drive the process of stock selection across Natural Resources in conjunction with the team of portfolio managers.
The analyst must possess in-depth knowledge of the Natural Resources sectors, principally in the Large and Mid-cap space, with experience on a buy side long-only platform.
The individual will develop and communicate investment ideas tailored to the investment philosophies of each respective strategy. These ideas will be based on comprehensive industry and company research through various sources of information, including review of public documents, annual reports, trade journals, networking with industry contacts as well as interviews with senior management. The analyst is responsible for being aware of the impact that rapidly evolving economic conditions and market dynamics have on the performance of both portfolio and non-portfolio companies across Energy, Materials and Utilities. The individual will be expected to effectively communicate, explain and defend buy and sell ideas to the Fundamental Equity portfolio managers.
The Analyst's contribution will be determined by how much alpha his/her ideas have generated, and as a result, how much influence they've had on the overall portfolios.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge: - At least 7-10 years of fundamental equity research, experience with relative benchmark investing at a buy-side long only platform is required
- Deep knowledge across Energy, Materials and Utilities sectors
- The ability to move expediently on new idea generation and existing idea maintenance
- A demonstrable track record of success in stock selection
- The willingness to be fully empowered and own the investment performance outcome
- Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate in a timely and investment-relevant manner
- Demonstrated understanding of financial statements and models
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- BA/BS; MBA and/or CFA are a plus

Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$250,000 - $275,000 USD
