Position Summary:

Under the support and direction of the Lead Teacher, you will assist in the operations of an assigned classroom to ensure Celebree's mission, vision, and values are upheld and that children are provided with a developmentally age-appropriate learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Entry-level knowledge and understanding of children's behavioral and developmental stages
• Beginning knowledge of State licensing regulations
• Ability to assist in classroom management, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills
• Patience and flexibility

Essential Functions:

• Assist in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors
• Maintain attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board
• Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating by Celebrees curriculum
• Manage effective classroom transitions
• Supervise children during all activities, using positive and appropriate discipline techniques as needed
• Ensure the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are maintained
• Complete all classroom paperwork
• Attend all team meetings, training, and school events as requested; limit unscheduled absences
• Present a positive and professional image, always adhering to uniform requirements
• Communicate effectively with parents, greeting them by name, addressing concerns promptly, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their childs development and classroom happenings
• Identify opportunities and/or problems in the classroom or school and work with the Lead Teacher and Director to resolve them
• Maintain confidentiality regarding families, co-workers, and self
• Flexibility in working with various age groups
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Physical Demands:

• Frequently bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Education/Experience:

• Experience in the childcare industry preferred

Specific Skills:

• Certification in CPR and First Aid
