American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS E and Homecare Homebase experience with day shifts and no weekend or holiday work.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a home health setting as part of a float pool
  • Provide care for adult patients with conditions such as CHF, diabetes, drain care, urinary catheters, ostomy care, infusion services, central line care, joint replacements, COVID, and palliative needs
  • Responsible for completing at least 8 patient visits per day with a 1:1 ratio
  • Day shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00–17:00), no weekends or holidays required
  • Charting is done using Homecare Homebase (HCHB), OASIS E, SBAR, and SOAP formats
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided
  • Primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care and completing detailed OASIS E documentation for Medicare home health patients
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • A minimum one-year gap is required for returning staff who previously worked at this health system
  • Orientation provided on the first Monday after start
  • Modules must be completed before start and during orientation, with average of 12 hours required
  • RTO (requested time off) must be listed up front and is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off allowed during the first two weeks

  • Active RN license in MD or Compact state required at the time of consideration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • OASIS E experience is required
  • At least 2 years of recent home health experience with a Medicare-certified agency
  • Experience in peripheral IV starts, infusion, and using HCHB
  • Must be able to manage a minimum of 8 patient visits per day
  • Two supervisor references from the past 2 years required
  • Local candidates within 60 miles accepted
  • Dress code requires navy, tan, or white attire
