Fully Licensed/Associate Mental Health Counselor Job description: 

Thoughtful Counseling is a new group practice passionate about bringing comprehensive mental health services to individuals and their families. We provide a supportive environment for therapists at different levels and stages in their career in their professional development. We are looking for therapists who feel passionate about their field, with good communication skills, who is a team player, lifelong learner, and feels comfortable or is willing to be trained in the following settings: 1) group therapy, 2) family therapy, 3) couples therapy, 4) child play therapy, 5) working with minority, 6) working with LGBTQ communities 7) working with teens, adults, and geriatric .

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
• Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
• Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
• Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress to include suicidal, homicidal ideation, and create safety plans when needed.
• Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
• Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
• Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
• Understand state laws and mandated requirements.
• Report abuse and neglect to appropriate agencies
• Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Can work Monday-Sundays. You choose your schedule and hours as a 1099 employee. Take vacations as you want and own your own business within Thoughtful Counseling. We provide scheduling, billing, and patients. You see your patients, complete your notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis. We credential you with top insurances that pay higher rates. TCG negotiates the rates every year to ensure you get paid the best rates.
• Have autonomy on the populations you want to see as well as receive in house training and supervision. Offices are located in several cities based on where you live and beautifully furnished for calm and relaxing environments for patients and staff.

• Therapist Qualifications/Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Detail oriented
• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
• Current with all state licensing requirements to include: LPCC, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPCCA, LICSWA, LMHCA, and LMFTA.
• All levels of experience are welcome.
• Must pass metropolitan police clearance, criminal background check, child protection registry clearance, drug and health screening.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• Morning shift

Education:

• Master's (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Mental Health License or can acquire one in the State of WA (Required) prior to seeing patients

Shift availability:

Choose your schedule and hours. We ask that you work atleast 25 hours per week as well as you get supervision hours as well with clinical supervisors here and additional training
