DCS is looking for a talented engineer to provide systems engineering support to a US Army Product Manager developing products and systems for fielding to warfighters.
Essential Job Functions:
Support development, review and approval of DoDI 5000.02 acquisition documents.
Support review and approval of product and end item requirements.
Support review and approval of system performance engineering specifications and system interface control documents.
Support review of product risk development and mitigation activities.
Support review and approval of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), System Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Cybersecurity Strategy Plans and Acquisition Strategy Plans.
Support program reviews, system engineering technical reviews (System Requirements Review thru Physical Configuration Audit) and technical interchange meetings with the government and suppliers.
Flexible to handle multiple product development programs simultaneously.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and 8 years' experience.
DoD Secret clearance.
Eight (8) years’ experience with any of the following weapon system development activities: product design and analysis; product development; testing and data analysis; requirement verification and validation analysis.
Ability to interface with different levels and expertise of Army Product Management development personnel and Program Officer Executive level personnel.
Experience developing performance specifications and interface control documents.
Knowledge of DoD systems engineering concepts, execution of systems engineering technical reviews, and verification and validation testing.
Knowledge of requirements management using DOORS.
Knowledge of risk management using Project Recon or similar tool.
Familiar with DoDI 5000.02 Defense Acquisition System regulations and DAU weapon system development process.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Desired Skills:
Master's Degree.
Experience working in an Army Product or Project Manager organization.
