Position overview
Position title: Stevenson Elective Courses Pre-six Lecturer
Salary range: A reasonable estimate for an appointment to teach the standard five-credit course is $8,531 - $14,523 (based on salary points 1-19). Please see the UCSC Salary Scales and refer to the Non-senate Instructional (NSI) Unit 18 Pre-six Lecturer Academic Year scale.
Percent time: Variable, based on the course load assigned (one standard, five-credit course is 37.5%)
Anticipated start: Appointments are contingent on the hiring units instructional need and the availability of funding. This recruitment is valid for initial appointments beginning in spring quarter 2025 through spring quarter 2026.
Position duration: Appointments are typically made during one or more quarters of the regular academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters), but they may also be made during Summer Session.

Position Description
Stevenson College at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach Stevensons non-core/enhancement courses.
Stevensons enhancement courses explore the concept of Self and Society and emphasizes the goals of both self-understanding and active participation in ones community. Some of the enhancement courses that are more frequently offered are Stevenson 26- Navigating the Research University, Stevenson 10- Skills for College and Beyond, Stevenson 50A- Stevenson Alumni Careers in Law, and Stevenson 50B- Stevenson Alumni Careers in Science and Technology.
