SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

  • The Staffing Manager will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions at A&A client sites. In addition, the Staffing Manager will serve as a liaison between job seekers and hiring employers, assisting employer clients with efficiently filling openings with qualified candidates. The ideal Staffing Manager also provides guidance and assistance to individuals seeking employment, matching job seekers with available opportunities based on education, expertise, and skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assesses employability of potential candidates including strengths, limitations, salary requirements, and general expectations.
  • Assists applicants with resume and interview preparation.
  • Assists employers with talent acquisition including drafting and publishing job announcements and openings.
  • Coaches and prepares job seekers for interviews.
  • Develops and maintains a database of potential job applicants; interviews potential job applicants to gather information about educational background, interests, abilities, work experience, and job preferences.
  • Develops and maintains a list of available positions in the immediate and surrounding geographic area, and remote or otherwise reasonably accessible opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains records of training, placements, and interview results; uses this data to continually modify and improve the placement service.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, maintaining an ongoing understanding of employers staffing needs.
  • Following a placement, gathers feedback from the job-seeker and the employer to assess the employees success in the role, the fit of the placement, and whether the parties are satisfied with the placement service.
  • Follows up with clients and applicants to assess the need for additional assistance including salary and benefits negotiations.
  • Identifies qualified applicants who match specific openings; facilitates match between applicant and hiring employer, which may include scheduling interviews.
  • Maintains records including details of client employers and vacancies to be filled.
  • Meets with job seekers including students, recent graduates, unemployed, under-employed, and currently employed individuals to understand interests, skills, abilities, and education.
  • Schedules and tracks the results of interviews.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including superior understanding of resume writing and interview techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bilingual is a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in related field highly preferred
  • At least one year of experience in similar staffing role preferred
  • Some experience in talent management preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

COMPENSATION:

  • The salary range for this position is between $40K and $42K as an exempt salaried manager.
