Job Title: Production Associate - Shop Helper

Job Description

As a Production Associate, you will play a vital role in the handling of aluminum ingots. Your primary responsibility will be to flip and align aluminum ingots coming off the conveyor at a temperature of around 300&degree;F. Each ingot, weighing between 15lbs-18lbs, needs to be flipped every six seconds to ensure the manipulator can pick them up efficiently. Once a stack is complete, it will be weighed and transported to a cooling area using a forklift. New employees will join a New Employee Progress Plan that outlines performance goals and potential merit increases within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Flip and align aluminum ingots from the conveyor.
• Ensure each ingot is flipped every six seconds.
• Operate forklifts to transport stacks to the cooling area.
• Follow the New Employee Progress Plan to meet performance goals.
• Maintain a safety-oriented approach in all tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor and production.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Familiarity with hand tools and machine operating.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior production experience is preferred.
• Experience in palletizing and stacking finished goods.

Work Environment

The position is set in a production environment that is hot, industrial, and loud. Be prepared to work outdoors and adapt to a fast-paced atmosphere. The role requires working six days a week, from Monday to Saturday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of City of Industry, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
