We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Property Tax Analyst to join our team in Rochester, NY. This hybrid role involves managing property tax obligations, preparing and filing returns, and supporting audits and appeals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with property tax management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file personal property tax returns accurately and on time, utilizing Microsoft tools to gather and manipulate data.
• Manage property tax obligations, including coordinating, tracking, and processing payments.
• Review and respond to inquiries from taxing jurisdictions and support audits as needed.
• Assist with the integration and use of property tax software within the organization.
• Forecast property tax liabilities and review assessments for accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage appeals related to property taxes.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property tax or a similar role.

Specialized Skills:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and manage a high volume of returns.
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and ownership in completing assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with proficiency in office terminology, forms, and procedures.
• Tactful and courteous in addressing issues and concerns from stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and resolving root causes of challenges.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Strong analytical skills, with the capability to research, interpret, and apply technical guidance to business situations.
