Job Description Position: School-Based Physical Therapist
Location: Various School Districts near Ellijay, Georgia
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team and support school districts across Georgia. This role involves developing, recovering, or maintaining the physical mobility and functional skills of students with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. As a school-based Physical Therapist, you will provide effective and client-centered services to enable students to confidently and independently participate in school activities and daily life.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, balance, coordination, and physical function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the student's educational team and family.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and use of assistive devices.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs and classroom activities.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Educate and empower students, families, and school staff regarding strategies for promoting physical development, mobility, and independence within the school setting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings, to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
Requirements - Commitment to completing tasks on time and consistently following through.
- Comfortable collaborating with a team.
- Ability to include all children in the learning process, regardless of their disabilities.
- Genuine enjoyment of working with special needs children.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid physical therapy license.
- Teaching certification from the state of Georgia to provide therapy services to school-aged students.
