TE is primarily an e-commerce business with a loyal and growing customer base but has a brick-and-mortar retail space called The Studio that highlights TE products and provides hands-on experience in card making through classes and other community events. Our studio offers a welcoming space for crafters of all skill levels where through hands-on classes, engaging events, and expert support staff.e aim to create unforgettable experiences that celebrate the joy of both creating a handmade project and building lasting relationships.

The Studio Assistant Manager helps create a joyful experience in our store each day. They lead merchandising for new releases and execution of weekly make & take cards. They support customers with any issues in store as well as on Studio social media platforms.

Responsibility Level:

Captain : Provides task leadership/expertise for the team; executes with excellence; leads by facilitating reflection with team players. Participates in planning weekly workflows to accomplish team objectives.

Expected work schedule/hours/shift: Full-time. Ability to work until 7:30 PM on select weeknights and commit to 2 Saturdays per month. Hours may vary based on class schedules/special events/open hours which may include staying later or coming in earlier than normal scheduled hours.

Key Job Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Service

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the product catalog to act as a guide for customers, explaining product design and intended use.
• Communicate with customers across digital/social channels, via phone calls, and in person, ensuring exceptional customer service and support.
• Assist with online social media communications including the creation of regular social media posts for the studio social channels.
• Greet customers with joy and kindness – treating all who enter as a friend.
• Run check-out for customer purchases via the point of sale system.
• Fill in for studio associates for unexpected and planned absences to include restocking, pricing items, answering customer questions, operating the register, daily cleaning duties, etc.
• Complete warehouse transfer requests for customers for inventory the studio does not currently carry.

Merchandising & Store Operations

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Collaborate with the Studio Manager and Operations team to effectively plan and reset the studio for new product releases, maintain stock levels, and ensure accurate pricing.
• Update and maintain effective shelving and merchandising for products and inspiration.
• Organize and maintain card and paper crafting supply organization within the studio closet and classroom.
• Complete weekly inventory re-stocks and place internal transfers for new release products and relevant products for the specific seasons.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular inventory audits to maintain product availability and prevent stockouts.

Creative & Event Support

• Assist with weekly make and take design and preparation, including packet prep, instruction layout creation, and communication with the Operations team so that everything is ready by specified deadlines.
• Assist with and/or facilitate classes as assigned. Brainstorm ideas for classroom events based on product knowledge and customer feedback.
• Lead class supplies and packaging preparation ensuring all materials are completed and ready to go.
• Lead class set-up and assist with clean-up.
• Assist with Stamp Joy (our annual in-person event in October) preparation and clean-up, as well as other yearly events including the studio sidewalk sale.
• • Lead pop-up store experience for annual in-person Stamp Joy event.
  • Lead planning for Virtual Stamp Joy In-Store Experience.
