Job Description

*Overview*
The Regional Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across regional routes. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The driver will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.

*Responsibilities*

* · Operate manual transmission trucks to transport goods to various regional destinations.
* · Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
* · Understand and comply with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) log requirements.
* · Plan and route trips using truck-safe routes to ensure timely and safe delivery.
* · Oversee loading and unloading of cargo as required, ensuring proper documentation, handling and securing of goods. Some loads may occasionally require the driver’s involvement in the physical loading or unloading of trucks or trailers. Drivers may have to assist receiver when unloading racked loads.
* · Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
* · Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, brokers, and other team members.
* · Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
* · Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
* · Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
* · Contribute to a safe and positive work environment.

*Skills*

* · Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
* · Knowledge of Hours of Service, ELD log Requirements and compliance.
* · Ability to plan and navigate truck-safe routes.
* · Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws.
* · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* · Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
* · Demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
* · Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
