Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager to lead custom control system, new product development, and engineered-to-order projects. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining strong client and stakeholder communication. A background in industrial automation or control systems is key to bridging technical and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from planning to delivery, managing scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, IT, and sales teams.
• Oversee new product development: design reviews, prototyping, testing, and release.
• Manage sales order and engineering-to-order processes, including cost estimates and billable hours.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, and support vendor/contract management.
• Provide status updates to leadership and clients; identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards (OSHA, NFPA 79, IEC, UL, CE, ISO).
• Drive continuous improvement and project management best practices.
• Serve as the primary client interface, balancing technical requirements with customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in project management, ideally in industrial automation or technology integration.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, or electrical/mechanical design.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and financial management skills.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.); ERP/MRP/CRM experience a plus.
• PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
