POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of an RN, provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment and promotes a safe, therapeutic milieu. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required CNA certification preferred Educational Requirements High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Clerical training preferred. Experience Requirements None Special Skills or Training Requirements The employee in this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment and therapeutic milieu based on the age of the patients served. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to communicate observed changes in behavior/activity to the registered nurse.
