Nutritionist (Registered Dietitian)

RET offers dietetic services at our clinic in Auburn and needs a registered dietitian who is willing to jump in! We are looking for someone with the ability to develop report with patients and work with a multidisciplinary team to improve health and wellness. You will see a variety of patients to make everyday a chance to grow professionally.

Essential Functions of Nutritionist (Registered Dietitian) Role:

• Interview patients / families which may include obtaining a diet history, exercise habits, reviewing emotional/social issues as part of the diet counseling process
• Make appropriate referrals to other services, such as the Diabetes Educator, Social Services or various Food Assistance Programs as indicated; make appropriate referrals to physician, cardiologist, or endocrinologist as indicated
• Counsel patients / families on medical nutrition / diet therapy principles and restrictions
• Utilize available medical nutrition therapy education materials or obtain them from reputable sources
• Communicate with both internal and external providers as needed in regard to patient plan of care/needs
• Assist in projects to increase patient referrals as needed and time permits.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetics Registration / Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Experience as an outpatient dietitian or registered dietitian or as a clinical dietitian/nutritionist in an acute care or long-term care facility preferred
• Registered Dietitian Licensure in good standing
