Job Description

The Nurse Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. The Nurse Technician assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), changes dressings, and performs other treatments and procedures in accordance with the training received through their nursing degree and WA State regulations. Pay rate: $29.70 + shift differentials We are currently looking for Nurse Techs who have holiday availability and are able to work at least one weekend per month. The Nurse Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. The Nurse Technician assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), changes dressings, and performs other treatments and procedures in accordance with the training received through their nursing degree program and WA State regulations. Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the Director of Nursing Services and/or designee. To be successful in the role, you would have: Education Currently enrolled in nursing program; High School education or equivalent; the ability to read, write, and converse and adequate physical ability, including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite health care services. Experience/Training (1) "Nursing technician" means a nursing student employed in a nursing home licensed under chapter 18.51 RCW, who: (a) Is currently enrolled in good standing in a nursing program approved by the commission and has not graduated; or

• b) Is a graduate of a nursing program approved by the commission who graduated: (i) Within the past thirty days; or
• ii) Within the past sixty days and has received a determination from the secretary that there is

good cause to continue the registration period, as defined by the secretary in rule. (2) No person may practice or represent oneself as a nursing technician by use of any title or description of services without being registered under this chapter, unless otherwise exempted by this chapter. One year of experience relevant to the clinical setting applied for which involved direct patient care is preferred. Current CPR certification What's in it for you?
