Job Summary:

As a Plastic Molding Engineer, you will set up, maintain, and operate plastic injection molding machines to prepare them for molding plastic parts or products. You will provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with processing troubleshooting needs, and support the Applications and Tech Center. This includes equipment loading/unloading, cleaning, and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize mold designs to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.
• Collaborate with product design teams to create manufacturable and innovative part
• Develop, implement, and refine injection molding processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste
• Conduct mold trials, validate processes, and establish best practices for production
• Select appropriate plastic materials based on product requirements and performance criteria.
• Evaluate and test new materials for potential use in manufacturing processes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with molds, machines, and processes to maintain production flow.
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on molds and equipment to ensure consistent quality and longevity
• Transfer molds between machines and adjust process controls as needed.
• Maintain the technical center for customer activities and perform required training at customer facilities and Tech Centers.
• Conduct customer visits for mold trials, demonstrations, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years' demonstrated experience in plastic injection molding (preferred)
• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of plastic materials and their properties.
• Expertise in injection molding processes and mold design.
