We are seeking a mechanically inclined and safety-focused technician to perform the complete service, repair, and assembly of various valve and pressure control equipment. This role demands strong attention to detail in root cause failure analysis, precise assembly, quality control, and strict adherence to technical and safety standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

This role manages the full unit repair lifecycle from receiving to final shipment:

1. Disassembly & Failure Analysis:
2. • Perform comprehensive unit disassembly, accurately diagnosing the proximate cause of failure and noting all special unit provisions.
   • Record all critical disassembly clearances and document non-standard conditions with photos/notes for reporting.
3. Cleaning & Inspection:
4. • Thoroughly clean components (tank wash, pressure wash, sandblast) and inspect all threads/passages.
   • Perform dimensional checks on all cases and ensure NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is performed on any suspected damage.
   • Organize and route components requiring complex repair to the appropriate department.
5. Quotation & Assembly:
6. • Determine and document required repair labor and parts replacement, noting any deviation from standard procedures.
   • Precisely assemble units, including priming, torquing, lock-wiring, and recording all final clearances on the job card.
   • Operate pneumatic and hydraulic torque tools.
7. Final Quality & Logistics:
8. • Perform final inspection of all components to ensure all repair labor is complete and accurate.
   • Paint, plug, and package units for shipment, ensuring all required installation gaskets are included.
   • Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S) and comply with all quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Technical Aptitude: Must be able to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and prints to perform moderately complex, repetitive assembly and reassembly tasks.
• Tools & Compliance: Must own basic hand tools and a tool chest/rollaway, and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Physical & Environmental: Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a demanding shop environment (including prolonged standing, bending, heavy parts handling, and exposure to extreme heat, noise, and dust).
• Availability: Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required, and travel within the US for offsite customer work as needed.
