Machine Operator

Location: Lexington, VA

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Shift Options:

• A-Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (36 hours paid as 40)
• B-Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (36 hours paid as 40)
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal brake presses and tube benders to form metal components according to detailed part prints. You’ll work in a fast-paced, industrial environment where precision, safety, and teamwork are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal brake presses and tube benders to form metal components of various sizes and types
• Interpret and follow part prints and shop instructions accurately
• Manage tooling configurations with minimal supervision
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or related fields
• Familiarity with PLC wiring and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of pressure testing, leak detection, and chiller systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $26.14/hr.
