Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Learning Engineer where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing critical batch workflows for large-scale forecasting. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain essential batch workflows using a custom scheduling tool.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and restart jobs to ensure minimal downtime and system reliability.
• Enhance job functionality and performance through code improvements in Python, Bash, and Terraform.
• Implement observability metrics and monitoring solutions with tools like OTEL and Kibana.
• Collaborate effectively through GitHub for code reviews and improvements.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python (PySpark), Bash, and a working knowledge of R.
• Experience with Apache Spark on YARN-managed clusters.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills in distributed environments.
• Effective communication skills in cross-functional settings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of Grafana, MLOps, and OpenTelemetry.
• Background in Docker and the Apache Spark ecosystem.
