IT Manager | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $100,000 - $147,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the reliability and performance of IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems critical for continuous production.
• Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices across manufacturing facilities.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect manufacturing data, intellectual property, and OT environments.
• Provide prompt technical support and incident resolution for production-impacting IT issues.
• Lead the planning, implementation, and integration of new manufacturing-specific software (e.g., MES, ERP modules) and hardware.
• Ensure IT systems comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and data integrity requirements for manufacturing.
• Manage IT vendor relationships and contracts for manufacturing-specific solutions and services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP integration, and operational technology (OT) such as SCADA/PLCs.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, vendor management, and IT strategy development.
• Demonstrated ability to align IT initiatives with manufacturing business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
• Experience with IT/OT cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance relevant to industrial settings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with operational technology (OT) systems (e.g., SCADA, MES, PLCs) and IT/OT convergence initiatives
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, Industrial IoT (IIoT), or smart factory initiatives
• Familiarity with manufacturing-specific cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443)
