IT Manager | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $97,000 - $144,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance for manufacturing operations.
• Oversee cybersecurity strategies and implement measures to protect both IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems.
• Support and optimize manufacturing-specific software applications, including MES, SCADA, and ERP production modules.
• Lead IT projects for system upgrades, new technology implementations, and infrastructure improvements across the plant.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, vendor relationships, and procurement of hardware and software.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security for production reporting, quality control, and analytics.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans tailored for a manufacturing environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and support within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Deep expertise in manufacturing IT systems, including ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MES, or SCADA.
• Demonstrated success in leading IT projects, from planning to implementation, that enhance operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and cybersecurity best practices for industrial environments.
• Ability to strategically align IT initiatives with manufacturing business objectives and drive digital transformation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, or PLC integration.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI/ML, automation) in a production environment.
• Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and IT/OT convergence.
• Knowledge of IT implications for quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, GxP).
