We’re looking for an outgoing, upbeat, and organized Host/Hostess to join the team at Mellotone Beer Project and be the face of our new bustling OTR spot. As the first person our guests meet, you’ll set the tone for an awesome experience, combining great energy with a cool and professional attitude. Whether it’s high-fiving regulars or welcoming first-timers with a smile, you’re here to bring the positive vibes.
Key Responsibilities:
• The Warm Welcome: Greet everyone who walks through the door like they’re an old friend, even if it’s their first time. You’re the face of Mellotone and first impressions are everything!
• Seat with Style: Manage the flow of the room, balancing tables for our servers while getting guests seated as quickly as possible. You know where the action is and keep things moving smoothly.
• Master of the Waitlist: During peak hours, manage the waitlist like a pro. Keep guests updated on their wait time, offer a spot at the bar to grab a brew, and always keep things upbeat.
• Reservation Rockstar: Take phone calls, handle online bookings, and make sure every guest’s experience is seamless from the moment they walk in.
• Know the Goods: Become an expert on our food, beer, and vibe so you can answer any guest questions and recommend the perfect brew to pair with their meal.
• Team Player: Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Help with seating guests, organizing tables, and keeping the floor looking sharp.
• Clean & Cool: Keep the entrance, waiting area, and restrooms tidy—because clean and cool go hand in hand.
• Bring the Energy: Whether it’s a busy Friday night or a chill Sunday afternoon, your positive energy and enthusiasm will keep our brewery buzzing.
Qualifications: • A natural people-person with a friendly, outgoing attitude. • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills to handle a busy flow. • Great communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. • Ability to stay calm under pressure and keep things fun. • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (because that’s when the party’s on). • Must be able to stand for extended periods and keep the energy high.
Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus, but we’ll train the right person with the right attitude. • Knowledge of (or love for) craft beer is a bonus, but if not, we’ll turn you into a beer expert in no time!
