We are seeking History tutors who can teach historical content clearly, coach analytical writing, and keep high school students engaged over Zoom.

About the Role
\t•\tFully remote, online tutoring
\t•\tPrimarily weekday sessions (with occasional exceptions)
\t•\t5–10 hours per week minimum
\t•\tStart date: January 2026
\t•\tOne-year commitment required
\t•\tTraining and ongoing support provided

What You’ll Do
\t•\tTutor high school students in History (AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP European History, IB History, Honors-level courses)
\t•\tPrepare students for unit exams, cumulative tests, and AP/IB exams
\t•\tGuide students through historical writing, including:
\t•\tThesis development
\t•\tArgument structure
\t•\tUse of evidence and sourcing
\t•\tDBQs, LEQs, SAQs, and document analysis
\t•\tReview and reinforce core historical concepts, timelines, and global themes
\t•\tAssist with research projects, presentations, and long-term assignments
\t•\tLead interactive, discussion-based Zoom sessions
\t•\tServe as a mentor and role model, building confidence and academic independence

Who We’re Looking For
Required
\t•\tCurrent student or recent graduate from a top American university (Ivy League or equivalent)
\t•\tCompleted coursework in both U.S. History and World History at the high school or college level
\t•\tStrong academic background in History or a closely related field
\t•\tExcellent writing and analytical skills
\t•\tComfortable and confident working with high school students over Zoom
\t•\tOutgoing, articulate, and able to maintain engagement online
\t•\tReliable, professional, and well-organized
Strong Plus
\t•\tPrior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience
\t•\tFamiliarity with AP/IB history curricula and exam formats
\t•\tExperience working with student-athletes or high-performing students
\t•\tNatural on-camera presence and strong interpersonal skills
