Job Description

Memorial Community Health, Inc. is looking to fill the position of HIM Technician for Memorial Hospital in Aurora, NE. This position will be full-time days, Monday through Friday. The HIM Technician handles pre-authorizations for services and assembling/analyzing outpatient records.

*Qualifications:*

*Education and/or Experience:*

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Graduate of a 2 year HIM program or equivalent experience preferred

*Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:*

· Notary Public

*Job Duties and Responsibilities:*

* Retrieves reports and charts and evaluates appropriately.
* Assembles and analyzes inpatient and swing bed dismissal charts.
* Performs offices administrative duties-completes and files birth certificates and Acknowledgement of Paternity form.
* Leave back up for continued care ROI
* Assembles and analyzes all outpatient records.
* Follows HIPPA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, financial, employee, and organizational records are maintained.
* Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations.
