Description Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Grant Manager to increase funding and help diversify LSSNCA's revenue streams. This position will help produce high quality concept notes, proposals, and reports for a range of funders. This person will serve as the primary grant writer, manage funder relationships, and will research prospective funding opportunities. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, and project management skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement. The Grant Manager is expected to be in the office at least two days a week, with flexibility based on both personal and professional needs.
Essential Functions
- Lead grant proposal development and submission, preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications.
- Participate in Go/No Go Committee to help evaluate appropriate funding opportunities for LSSNCA, organize Committee materials, and help facilitate next steps following Committee deliberations.
- Research new funding opportunities on the local, state, and federal level, with an emphasis on unrestricted/general operating support.
- Maintain and build relationships with funders and other strategic partners. Participates in meetings with new and potential funders.
- Draft proposals, LOIs, concept notes, and grant application narratives in collaboration with program staff, finance, and executive leadership.
- Manage and update internal Grant Tracker with ongoing grant opportunities and prospects and update Raiser's Edge with ongoing funder interactions.
- Maintain internal file library with grant support documents including applications, resumes, bios, IRS forms, board/staff diversity lists, etc.
- Execute thank you letters and facilitate grant contracts/agreements.
- Lead on grant reporting, ensuring that LSSNCA meets reporting schedules and requirements. Coordinate and draft progress reports and program updates.
- Monitors philanthropic trends across the U.S., as well as relevant grant-making rules and regulations for changes and developments.
- Support other development department projects as assigned.
Qualifications Preferred Skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks independently.
- Experience with donor CRM, specifically Raiser's Edge, a plus.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a Team.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen internal and external partnerships to achieve goals and objectives
