Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join a leading global company specializing in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. Our diverse portfolio includes products and services for industries such as power, automotive, ammunition, coinage, construction materials, refrigeration, and electronics. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our expanding team at our Delaware location, which is currently in growth mode.

Responsibilities

• Follow production orders, company procedures, and supervisor directions to prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies.

• Perform assembly operations using power tools or specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

• Prepare parts for assembly through grinding, blasting, and cutting of metals.

• Execute assembly in accordance with company procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality and safety standards.

• Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance as instructed.

• Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time.

• Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

• Experience with standard hand and power tools such as drills and grinders.

• Proactive in proposing solutions.

• Good verbal communication skills.

• Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing or production work experience.

• 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience, working off of drawings and diagrams for assembly instruction.

• 1+ years of industrial machine operation experience.

• Team player mentality.

• Understanding of the company's growth schedule.

• Willingness to work other shifts in the future.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, comfortable, and organized environment that is non-climate controlled. The facility includes a machine shop and weld shop, with 12 people currently on the production floor. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of working on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
