Location Description

Michael Foods, Inc. located in Wakefield, Nebraska is known as the Baseball Capital of Nebraska. Milton G. Waldbaum and Dan Gardner founded our egg-processing business in 1950 here in Wakefield. Our location raises chickens and produces tankers of liquid egg to be consumed by our processing facilities.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for completing daily duties well prioritizing and handling a wide range of other tasks that arise periodically through the day. They assist managers and supervisors upon request as well as perform other administrative duties as needed (handling department mail, etc.)

Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Compile, update, generate and distribute reports to appropriate parties
  2. Perform administrative duties as needed (answering phones, photocopying, faxing, etc.)
  3. Assist in ordering parts/repairs of plant radios and scheduling trouble shooting service calls
  4. Sort and inventory materials received and communicate with appropriate departments
  5. Aid with presentations (i.e. preparation, room set-up, projector, laptop, etc.)
  6. Help with Kronos reimaging biometrics
  7. Purchasing for all farm locations
  8. Utilizing spreadsheets to track paperwork and processes
  9. Stock Conference room fridge
  10. Create POs, Manage and compile paperwork (invoices and packing slips) for HR, Farms, & Safety
  11. Review vendor accounts and statements
  12. Resolve key fob problems
  13. Handle uniform ordering and issues
  14. Performs other duties as required
Qualifications

Education and experience required:

  1. Problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  2. Ability to work independently.
  3. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Print Shop)
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Professionally generates and formats reports.
  6. Organized and detail-oriented.
  7. Ability to juggle a multitude of tasks.
  8. Must be professional in dealing with personnel issues including confidential information.

Preferred education, experience and skills:

  1. Ability to maintain records and filing systems.
  2. Previously held an Office / Administrative position
