Electrical Designer - Full-Time Position Overview

A growing engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join their team. This position is ideal for a professional with at least five years of experience in electrical design who is ready to take ownership of projects from concept through completion. The role involves working on a diverse range of project types, including educational, commercial, residential, mixed-use, tenant improvements, and office buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design lighting , power , fire alarm , and low voltage systems with minimal supervision.

• Perform CAD , BIM , and Revit drafting and documentation.

• Organize and maintain project files and documentation related to assigned tasks.

• Communicate with clients and project stakeholders, as directed.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project coordination and quality.

• Participate in occasional site visits and travel for project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience.

• Proficiency in the following software tools:

  • Revit 2024

  • AutoCAD 2024

  • SKM Power Tools (short circuit, coordination, arc flash studies)

  • Energy Pro 9 (Title 24 compliance)

  • Bluebeam

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

• Basic familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Willingness to travel as needed for project execution.
