Electrical Designer - Full-Time Position Overview
A growing engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join their team. This position is ideal for a professional with at least five years of experience in electrical design who is ready to take ownership of projects from concept through completion. The role involves working on a diverse range of project types, including educational, commercial, residential, mixed-use, tenant improvements, and office buildings.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign lighting , power , fire alarm , and low voltage systems with minimal supervision.
Perform CAD , BIM , and Revit drafting and documentation.
Organize and maintain project files and documentation related to assigned tasks.
Communicate with clients and project stakeholders, as directed.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project coordination and quality.
Participate in occasional site visits and travel for project needs.
Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience.
Proficiency in the following software tools:
Revit 2024
AutoCAD 2024
SKM Power Tools (short circuit, coordination, arc flash studies)
Energy Pro 9 (Title 24 compliance)
Bluebeam
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Basic familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Willingness to travel as needed for project execution.
