Director of Sales

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales at a new Boutique Hotel and Event Space located in North Brunswick, NJ. We are looking for a highly driven, experienced Director of Sales to become a part of our team. This individual should have 5 + years of direct hotel sales experience (Corporate, SMERF, Government, and Social) with matured relationships with established key accounts in the market.
Requirements:

• The development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary bookings needed for successful and profitable operation of the hotel
• Work closely with Management to determine appropriate sales strategies in the market segment towards maximizing the hotels revenues
• Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability in the sales department
• Read and understanding hotel sales reports, revenue reports, data collection, budgeting, forecasting, marketing plans and action plans
• Work laterally with the Director of Catering and the catering team
• Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

• Professional demeanor with ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly
• Organized with great time management skills
• Great prospecting and closing skills, with an expert level of sales process and procedural knowledge
• Positive attitude and sales spirit with an understanding of sales culture and direct involvement with implementing this culture throughout the hotel team
