We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our growing construction company. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. Responsibilities and duties include:
· Review and evaluate cost estimates
· Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
· Preparation of estimates, purchase orders, change orders
· Preparation of proposals/budget
· Preparation of cost analysis
· Management of bid pricing from vendors and subcontractors
· Visiting job sites
· Understand scope of work to bid
· Bid preparation and submission
The ideal candidate must process the following skills:
· 10 + years in construction estimating
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
· Impeccable problem solving skills
· Great attention to detail
· Well organized
· Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
· Data analysis and estimation metrics
· Able to read site construction plans and develop cost estimates
· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
· Knowledge of Earthworks Software
· Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
