Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Monitors the progress of and assists in filing regulatory documents, including company licensing and client or legal documents, ensuring timely reporting.
· Resolves outstanding regulatory documentation requirements, including response drafting, regulatory research, and management reporting.
· Reviews and prepares documents and filings in a timely and accurate manner.
· Assists Compliance Department management with projects, appraising management of project requirements, possible issues, and recommended courses of action.
· At the direction of Compliance Department management, performs other duties to further the Department’s focus and goals.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not require.
· Familiarity with financial industry regulatory framework
· Familiarity with regulatory issues governing loan servicing, including RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, BSA/AML, and other regulation.
· Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
· Strong computer and word processing skills; familiarity with Excel and Access
· Ability to meet deadlines set by courts, administrative, and regulatory agencies.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain calm, positive demeanor while handling multiple projects.
· Extended hours may be required to meet deadlines.
