Job Summary

We are seeking two qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Varsity Girls Softball Coach for the Season.


At the direction of supervision for the Principal and/or Athletic Director the applicant:


- Assist in coaching games, conduct practices, travel with and supervise team, communicate with parents.
- Work to implement Monrovia softball program objectives.
- Prioritize health and safety of students first
- Devotion to tenets of education-based athletics required
- Previous high school or club coaching experience preferred
- Stipend based on the Supplemental Stipend Schedule for 2024-25.


All postings/positions are tentative and pending athletics and Human Resources approval.


NO COACH IS TO PERFORM WORK SERVICES/ATTEND PRACTICES WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM HUMAN RESOURCES.

Requirements / Qualifications

* Completion of one of the following courses: "Fundamentals of Coaching" course completion certificate, Online Course, available through National Federation of High Schools ( or "Coaching Principles" completion certificate. Online course, available through Human Kinetics Coach Education Center (


* "Sudden Cardiac Arrest" course completion certificate. Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (


* "Concussion in Sports" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (


* "Heat Illness Prevention" Online course available through National Federation of High Schools. (


* CPR & First Aid: evident of current certification. MUST be recognized by American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. (Online Courses unacceptable)


* TB Test: Evidence of current negative test OR Adult TB Risk Assessment Form.


* Current Driver License at time of employment.
