Job Description

Job Description

Description: Your Calling to Lead: Fueling Growth, Together
Did you enter this field to make a difference? Let's see you shine! ?

At AWS, we operate on a core belief: We Are One Team. Every employee matters, and every role, regardless of title, holds value in our collective mission. We know the best way to support our clients is by elevating the dedicated people who serve them.

In an industry as demanding as ours, AWS provides more than just a job—we offer a supportive mission and a clear career path built on our foundational values: Client-Centered Care, Growth, Responsibility, and Collaboration. Your dedication to developing people is not just valued here—it's essential.

We are seeking a transformative, energetic, and deeply compassionate leader to drive clinical excellence within our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) Team. You will guide a resilient, resourceful multidisciplinary team focused on serving adults with chronic behavioral health and co-occurring conditions. This BHH team is a powerful community-based support program ( not a residence, we know the name is confusing!), and we need a leader who can embody our values to provide the strategic support and guidance necessary to ensure every team member and every client has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

The Opportunity: Lead, Coach, and Innovate as One Team

We are all in this together. You won't be an isolated supervisor—you'll be a vital part of a strong leadership triad. You'll join two other seasoned Clinical Coordinators, gaining immediate peer support and Collaboration as you lead your own team of dedicated Care Coordinators and interns.

This role is essential, acting as the bridge between our Biddeford and Portland offices. You will attend both group supervisions, harvesting each team's strengths to help us grow stronger together as one team. Your voice and expertise matter: as a small, learning organization, feedback drives change. Since you are embedded in the day-to-day operations, your insights will directly influence how we improve the quality of Client-Centered Care we provide.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Mentorship: Actively teach, coach, and model best practices (e.g., debriefings, group and individual supervision) to elevate the clinical skills of our paraprofessionals.
  • Assessment Expert: Use your deep clinical skills to assess complex client needs, direct appropriate services, and provide day-to-day supervision. At times, you will carry a small caseload yourself to teach your team how to manage challenging cases and demonstrate that everyone deserves care, even when they are complex.
  • Community Engagement: You will participate in community meetings, networking events or other engagements required for the program.
  • Quality & Growth: Maintain clinical integrity by reviewing BHH documentation, providing administrative/performance feedback, and supporting program growth through intake assessments and annual reviews.
  • Leadership Presence: Be present and available to support your team without creating dependence. You will teach them how to be self-sufficient, effectively utilizing their weekly supervision time with you and helping them recognize when to reach out for additional support when crisis situations arise.
The Rewards: We Invest in Your Well-Being

We believe in supporting the people who support our clients, recognizing that strong clinicians need strong boundaries and exceptional support.

  • Financial & Health Security: Full benefits package, 4 weeks of PTO, 10 Paid Holidays, Professional Development Days, Health, Dental, EAP, Life, LTD, STD, and retirement plans. We even offer Pet insurance and Catastrophic Events coverage.
  • True Work/Life Integration: We support a flexible environment to enhance work-life balance, allowing you to achieve your essential duties without burnout.
  • Unbeatable Perks: Our Employee of the Year earns a paid vacation to Florida with an additional week of PTO! Enjoy pet bereavement leave, internal competitions, and regular all-agency days designed purely to build team strength and foster connection.
Essential Skills for This Role

We are looking for a clinician who leads with integrity and a passion for excellence, driving positive outcomes for our community.

Apply Today to Lead and Develop Our BHH Team! Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • Clinical Credential: Must maintain an active Maine license as a LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, or LCPC-c.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience. Strong preference for individuals with leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Clinical Fluency: Must be fluent in recovery-oriented service, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, harm reduction, and the treatment of co-occurring disorders.
  • Certification: MHRT-C certification required upon hire (obtainable with an active clinical license).
  • Logistical: Valid Maine Driver's License and a good driving record required.
Professional Expectations (Beyond the Day-to-Day)

Your role extends to helping AWS grow as a learning organization committed to client well-being and diversity:

  • Actively engage in supervision, set personal/professional goals, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze data, develop strong community relationships, and work collaboratively across departments with a solution-oriented attitude.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, remain prepared to effectively handle and deescalate crisis situations, and strictly adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and respect for diversity in all its dimensions (cultural, racial, gender identity, socioeconomic, etc.) to ensure inclusive and equitable service delivery.

If your passion is dedicated clinical mentorship and building a team to deliver quality care, join us. You will be the essential leader driving clinical assessment, team development, and positive outcomes for our community.
