We are currently seeking a Chemical Handler to work at our Cowpens, SC location. The Chemical Handler is responsible for daily production, unloading raw materials, and completing paperwork, while maintaining a safe operation.

This is a full-time, 1st shift position, working Monday through Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Transfer products into and out of pails, drums, and totes utilizing transfer pumps and hoses.
• Read detailed paperwork instructions regarding chemical amounts and blending instructions.
• Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
• Ensure all products are properly inspected, labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment.
• Stage, load, and unload containers including; pails, drums, and totes.
• Forklift operation.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, clean operation of equipment and work area.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 55 lbs.
• May cross train in various positions including shipping/receiving, handling of bulk product, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventative plant maintenance, and/or yard truck spotting.

Candidates should possess:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong safety mindset
• Forklift certification (training is provided)
• Must have effective verbal and written skills, enabling clear and strong interactions with co-workers, chemists, administrative staff, delivery personnel, and management.
