Caregiver

Pay Rate : $14.50 hrly

Hours: PRN, Part-Time and Full-Time. Weekends may be included. Schedules are 12 and 16 hr shifts blended. Must be able to work 1-2 day(s) of 12 hr shifts (8a-8p/8p-8a) and 1-2 day(s) 16 hrs shifts (4p-8a).

We do not offer traditional Mon- Fri 8a-5p shifts. Our schedules are based on client availability.

Please Note: You must be 18 years of age or older and have held a valid driver's license (not an intermediate or permit) for at least 12 months. You must also have a reliable vehicle to use each day you are scheduled to work as you may need to transport our clients to a medical appointment or outing.

Regardless of whether you choose to work full-time or part-time, you will need to be able to attend our paid orientation for two weeks from Monday through Friday at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. You'll perform all duties of the caregiver role including but not limited to: Cooking meals, administering medications, and housekeeping. Providing Personal care such as assistance with eating, dressing, brushing teeth, shaving, bathing, toileting or wiping. Providing Total Care and assisting the client in all areas of daily living such as feeding, changing, and transferring clients using manual lifting and lifting medical equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts. We cannot guarantee you will be assigned to a home without a client who needs total care. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SEVITA

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Education: If younger than 21 years of age, a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Driver's License: Held a full and valid Driver's License for at least 12 months. Permits or Intermediates do not qualify.
• Vehicle: Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance to transport our clients into the community to medical appointments and other outings as needed.
