Pay Rate: 34–37 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled Aviation Assembly Technicians to support a leading aerospace manufacturing operation in Kinston, NC . This position requires previous Aviation experience . In this high-impact role, you’ll help assemble and install aircraft components with the highest standards of precision and quality. Key Responsibilities

As an Aviation Assembly Technician, you will:

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents to complete tasks accurately.

• Perform manual and automated assembly operations using precision hand and power tools.

• Must have skills: Drill, seal, install fasteners, countersink, paint, varnish, and sub-assemble components to exact specifications.

• Conduct functional tests and inspections to verify compliance with safety and engineering standards.

• Identify and report assembly discrepancies , and participate in corrective actions.

• Support production flow by moving materials, tools, and assemblies.

• Conduct Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on tools and equipment.

• Mentor and support fellow team members to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Cross-train in inspection tasks and pursue SIA qualification as needed.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Prior aerospace assembly experience with techniques such as drilling, sealing, inserting fasteners, countersinking, and painting.

• Ability to work any assigned shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.

• Physically able to stand for full shifts and perform hands-on tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Local candidates strongly preferred, but not required.

• Experience using precision measurement tools for verifying tolerances and dimensions.

• Previous work in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.

• Interest in or prior inspection experience ; willingness to obtain SIA qualification .

Pay Details: 34.00 to 37.00 per hour
