Job Description

Job Title Appraisal Coordinator Job Description Summary The Valuation & Advisory Appraisal Coordinator serves as a critical facilitator and operational partner to a dedicated group of commercial real estate appraisers. The individual manages research and administrative responsibilities necessary for the creation of the “front half” of commercial real estate appraisal reports, including data gathering, local market and comparable property analysis, brief write‑ups, and preparation of report templates to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Beyond day‑to‑day project coordination, the coordinator works closely with the team lead to develop, implement, and refine systems that enhance team efficiency, competitiveness, and overall performance. This includes identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, optimizing bidding strategies, and supporting pipeline management to improve operational effectiveness and revenue optimization. Our values of respect, responsiveness, and people‑first service guide every interaction. We value collaboration, connection, and mutual support, and invite candidates who share these values to join our team. Key Competency Qualifications Project Setup & Research (45%) Conduct property‑specific research including taxes, zoning, building data, and assignment information, communicating with local government entities and appraisers as needed. Review and quality‑check engagement letters and set‑up information for accuracy. Compile and synthesize local area and market analyses using CoStar, Reis, and publicly available data sources. Report Preparation & Analysis (35%) Prepare the “front end” of appraisal reports using C&W templates, including market and regional analysis, property mapping, tax comparables, and formatting. Perform competitor and property‑specific analyses to support report development. Assist in parsing and analyzing large data sets, transferring data from PDFs into Excel. Administrative & Process Support (20%) Track project workflows and key milestones, including receipt of projects, hours spent, internal deadlines, and client due dates. Support development, refinement, and implementation of operational systems and workflows to enhance team efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes by identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience. Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new real estate concepts and terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders. A collaborative mindset and positive attitude, committed to sharing information and supporting colleagues and clients. Proactive problem‑solving abilities, focused on identifying and removing obstacles to enable high‑quality work. Benefits and Compensation Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Compensation ranges from $24.52 to $28.85 per hour, depending on location, experience, and other factors. The role is not paid less than minimum wage. Cushman & Wakefield is an Equal Opportunity employer to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. Discrimination of any type will not be tolerated.
