Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong written communication skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) . This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and post customer payments accurately and promptly
Prepare and send invoices, statements, and account summaries
Follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve discrepancies
Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records
Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing issues
Assist with month-end closing processes
Prepare A/R reports for management as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications:
Strong written communication skills (grammar, spelling, and clarity)
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
1+ years of experience in an accounting or A/R role preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required Education:
