Job Description

Essential Job Duties:

• Ensure production flow and maintain team on schedule. 
• Prepare and Set-up packing equipment, utensils, and materials for pre-production
• Monitor product flow through Packing equipment through the finished product 
• Responsible for allocation and updating packaging material inventory
• Assist in preventative maintenance duties through coordination with the Maintenance Team
• Monitor Employee lunch breaks and breaks. 
• Direct and train personnel on safety procedures involving all Packing equipment and materials
• Communicate company policies and procedures as well as GMP
• Daily assignment and movement of personnel in the Packing area to effectively meet production requirements.
• Report any food safety and/or quality issues to the Production Manager immediately.
• Perform other duties as required
• Cross-train in other areas of the company for fill-in or other assignments when needed.
• In the absence of the Packing Lead, the Packing Supervisor will cover his/her responsibilities.

• Proven ability to set priorities, to pay attention to detail, and to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years experience
• Experience with the Food and Beverage industry preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift.
• Occasionally required to balance or climb.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
