Position Title: Lead Data Quality Specialist
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour ($47,840.00 - $49,920.00 annually)

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected hourly pay rate for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 per hour ($47,840.00 - $49,920.00 annualized). How You'll Help

The primary functions of a Lead Data Quality Specialist are to influence and administer the processes for strengthening and maintaining data integrity across Mile High United Way with a focus on 211 data. The Lead Data Quality Specialist will assist the Data Quality Team with tasks such as supporting team members and seasonal staff, special projects, and tracking maintenance of the 211 database.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees the effort to update and maintain the quality and accuracy of the 211 database as defined by department standards, contributing as needed to ensure update expectations are met.
  • Assesses gaps/needs of the 211 database and assesses programs that need/should be in the database.
  • Guides and supports a team of seasonal 211 data entry staff to understand and support complete updates of information in the 211 database.
  • Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining a highly efficient and comprehensive orientation and training program for seasonal staff that covers all areas of responsibility.
  • Supports the development and documentation of best practices of data entry.
  • Participates in data projects to ensure accuracy and maintenance of departmental data.
  • Supports disaster response efforts by delegating tasks, effectively communicating with necessary parties, and ensures the database is updated quickly and with high quality information.
  • Develops knowledge of data use and needs across the organization to support overall data quality and integrity.
  • Provides customer support to both internal departments and external organizations that may include creating Salesforce accounts, identifying missing data from records, supporting use of the 211 Agency Update Portal, etc.
  • Supports the development and implementation of the onboarding and training of new hires in best data practices.
  • Attends internal and external meetings regularly, as assigned, to support updated and accurate data across all programs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Meets deadlines to complete assigned projects and new initiatives in a quality and timely manner.
  • Assists with recruiting, interviewing and hiring of seasonal staff and Data Quality Specialists.
  • Back-up to the Data Quality Supervisor or Manager.
  • Supports 211 Contact Center with calls when queue is at a high volume and additional support is needed from the organization.
  • Resolves issues arising from customers or partner agencies in a timely manner and/or assists and counsels seasonal staff regarding their handling of difficult. or unusual calls and requests; advises seasonal staff regarding problems and complaints from clients.

What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and a variety of professional and community leaders
  • Demonstrated experience completing assignments and projects on time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and shift gears quickly to accommodate change.
  • Excellent organization skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills; including strong public speaking skills, and the ability to effectively deal with complex issues
  • Attention to detail; ability to check each item or task carefully
  • Ability to work independently

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office skills at Intermediate level or better
  • Strong Excel Skills preferred

Working Environment: Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Shift hours may vary by day of the week. The Data Quality Specialists are required to assist in crisis response activities, which may include working on weeknights and/or weekends per assigned shifts. Data Quality Specialist are also asked to act as an organization liaison at community fairs, meetings, and presentations within and outside of normal business hours.
