Job Description

The Director, Talent Acquisition is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to support the Babcock Power Construction Segment’s growth and objectives through providing high quality talent to meet the functional needs of each organization. This role involves overseeing the talent acquisition process, leading a team of recruiters, and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the proactive attraction of high-caliber candidates who align with our organizational values and goals. This role will work in partnership with Operations leadership across TEiC, Renewable Concepts, GSI, and Paradigm Enterprises to source and secure top talent across major industrial sectors.

Requirements

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growth. Provide leadership and direction to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring effective execution of recruitment strategies.
  • Talent Sourcing: Design and deploy innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-potential candidates across various channels, including social media, job boards, and industry networks.
  • Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from job requisition to onboarding. Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience while maintaining efficiency and compliance with company policies. Ensure the team has the tools to effectively perform their jobs and are trained to use them. Ensure team understands different business operations and roles/functions.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professional, and technical team members and talent acquisition specialists. Set clear goals and performance metrics and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans. Advise on talent market trends and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making. Participate in evaluation and selection process.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize analytics and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and processes. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously improve recruitment practices based on data-driven insights.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance and promote Babcock Power’s employer brand to attract top talent. Develop and implement strategies to showcase the company’s culture, values, and career opportunities.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with legal and ethical standards. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Position Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and talent market trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics tools. Experience with Workable a plus.
  • Experience implementing new software and systems a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, innovate, and improve recruitment processes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIR) preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in talent acquisition, with a track record of success in a leadership role.
